Tίτλος: Διοργανώθηκε με επιτυχία το ECT Forum 2024

Με μεγάλη επιτυχία πραγματοποιήθηκε το ECT – European Competencies and Technologies Forum  στις 27 Αυγούστου, στο CYENS Centre of Excellence στη Λευκωσία που διοργάνωσε ο μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός ECECT – European Centre for Emerging Competencies and Technologies.

Στην εκδήλωση συμμετείχαν άτομα από το χώρο της έρευνας και καινοτομίας τόσο από ακαδημαϊκά ιδρύματα αλλά και τη βιομηχανία. Η εκδήλωση περιλάμβανε παρουσιάσεις για  το έργο BETES (Bootcamps for Emerging Technologies and Essential Skills) – betesproject.eu που συγχρηματοδοτήθηκε από το Erasmus+ της Ευρωπαϊκής  Ένωσης. Επίσης, περιλάμβανε θέματα όπως την Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη (Artificial Intelligence), Επαυξημένη και Εικονική Πραγματικότητα (AR/VR), Ανάλυση Δεδομένων, Μικροηλεκτρονική, και τις πρακτικές τους εφαρμογές σε διάφορους τομείς. Στο πάνελ έγινε μια σε βάθος συζήτηση όσο αφορά την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, ευκαιρίες, προκλήσεις καθώς και θέματα ηθικής.

Την εκδήλωση χαιρέτισαν ο Κος Χαράλαμπος Προύντζος , Δήμαρχος Λευκωσίας, ο Κος Γιώργος Γεωργίου, Ιδρυτής της ECECT,  ο πρόεδρος του IET Cyprus Local Network, Κος Χρίστος Χρίστου. Στην εκδήλωση παρευρέθηκε επίσης ο Επικεφαλής Επιστήμονας, Κος Δημήτρης Σκουρίδης.

Την εκδήλωση στήριξαν το IET Cyprus Local Network, το CYENS Centre of Excellence, o Κυπριακός Σύνδεσμος πληροφορικής – CCS , ο Κυπριακός Σύνδεσμος Επιχειρήσεων  Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας ΚΣΕΕΚ όπως επίσης οι Novatex Solutions και το PANIS media. 

Η ECECT ευχαριστεί τους ομιλητές, τους πανελίστες, αλλά και το κοινό που συμμετείχε στην εκδήλωση.

Title: The ECT Forum 2024 was held succesfully last week

The ECT Forum – European Competencies and Technologies forum was successfully held on August 27th at the CYENS Centre of Excellence in Nicosia, organized by the non-profit organization ECECT – European Centre for Emerging Competencies and Technologies.

The event attracted participants from the research and innovation sectors, including both academic institutions and industry representatives. The forum featured presentations on the BETES project (Bootcamps for Emerging Technologies and Essential Skills) – betesproject.eu, which was co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. Additionally, topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Data Analytics, Microelectronics, and their practical applications in various fields were discussed. The panel offered an in-depth discussion on Artificial Intelligence, covering opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations.

The event begun with greetings from by Mr. Charalambos Prountzos, Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. George Georgiou, Founder of ECECT, and Mr. Christos Christou, President of IET Cyprus Local Network. Chief Scientist Mr. Dimitris Skouridis also attended the event.

The event was supported by IET Cyprus Local Network, CYENS Centre of Excellence, Cyprus Computer Society (CCS), the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE), Novatex Solutions Ltd as well as PANIS Media.
